In an effort to appease certan criticisms from the group I have tried several different colour schemes for the blog, which I have listed below. The main criticism was leveled at the picture present in the blogs structure. My reasoning was that the picture grounded the blog to a direction, allowing the viewer a snipet of what was to come. However it was suggested that I should try to develop the blog without the image, which has been the state of the blog for the past two weeks. I have found that removing the image from the blog forces questions as to why the colour scheme remains blue. There seems no need to keep the colour set without the image, forcing me to ponder neutral grey colour schemes, a scheme that holds much aclaim in our lecturers eyes. Although the grey colour scheme holds its own merits I believe that several blogs in neutral grey will result in a conformed, mundane, approach to the world of blogging.
blogger provides a smooth interface for a blog to be personally customized with several easy to navigate drop down menus. These are found in the design and template designer tabs.
the bird in all its glory
replacing the bird with a rabbit
removing the image but keeping the blue background
leaving the background empty raises questions of the blue colour scheme causing an exploration of other colours
extremly unappealing
also without appeal
neutral grey in all its glory with a hint of light blue
Bring back the bird and the blue. You were onto a winner
ReplyDeleteYou don't do mundane Andy. Go with what works for you.

ReplyDeleteWhat we've learned is that the medium is the message.
Be who you are, not someone else. If I'd known better I would have thought this blog would have been covered with crazy, singing, dancing dead birds. I agree with Ben that you need the blue and the bird back.
